Sengthiene Bosavanh
Ms. Bosavanh received her Juris Doctorate degree from San Joaquin College of Law. While in law school, she worked full time as a paralegal and advocate at Central California Legal Services, helping to advocate for better health care for the poor and language access. Ms. Bosavanh received her Masters of Arts degree from California School of Professional Psychology. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Southern California (U.S.C.) and graduated with honors (Cum Laude). At U.S.C., she had a major in psychology and minors in natural sciences (pre-med) and gerontology.

Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Bosavanh worked in the following areas: clerk for an immigration law firm, advocate, paralegal, college professor, mediator, project coordinator, case manager, job developer, teacher's aide, tutor, McDonald's cook, kitchen police, cattle rancher and more. Since she has become an attorney, Ms. Bosavanh has done only Social Security Disability Law and enjoys helping people. Her psychology major allows her to have a deeper understanding and appreciation for clients with mental health issues, while her natural sciences and pre-med background gives her some background in medicine.

In her spare time, Ms. Bosavanh enjoys giving back to the community by being involved in numerous civic, church and social arenas. Over the years, some of the organizations she has been appointed to and/or involved in include: Fresno County Mental Health Advisory Committee, Prop 63 (Mental Health Services Act) Steering Committee, Measure C Oversight Commission, Measure K Oversight Commission, Indian Gaming Board, Metro Ministry Board, Central California Forum on Refugee Affairs, Southeast Asian Educational Council, Southeast Asian Educational Conference, Lao New Year Steering and Planning Committee, Lao Cultural Center, University Presbyterian Church Vacation Bible School Director, and Lao Partners Mission Team to Laos in November of 2007. She is also a graduate of
Leadership Fresno.
